The Happy Pink Bow Tie

This may be my favorite picture that has been e-mailed to me thus far. I just love how this gentleman makes a hot pink and purple tie look manly. What he may or may not know is that this tie was made with a pair of 100% silk women's pants that I found at the thrift store. I think this fabric is much happier as a bow tie.

Hmm. My tone is more negative than my thoughts. Please allow me to restate.

It’s a well put-together monochromatic outfit, and that, in itself, is an achievement. I like it.

In my opinion, the overall effect of the outfit is boyish and fun. It makes me think of spring, and that’s nice in these gloomy days. But it is precisely because of its youthful fun that this ensemble is lacking in the manly department.

But I still like the look.
