You can now follow The Cordial Churchman on Twitter!
We'll be tweeting about new items as they become available on the store. When The Cordial Churchman gets some complimentary 'press,' we'll pass such links on to you. From time to time there'll be exclusive Twitter contests, drawings, and other concise marketing ploys--er...um...--opportunities to experience cordial community with fellow rockers of the bow tie.
This is the point at which we're supposed to say something like "see you in the Twittersphere." But since that sounds silly, we shall refrain.
Edited - Many thanks to Eric for the awesome bow tied twitterbird!
This is great! One of my favorite singer/songwriters and a good friend of mine, Hannah Miller, has made a music video with lots of Cordial Churchman Bow ties in it! You can even see my husband...the Cordial Churchman himself rollerskating by at about the 41 second mark.
If you like Hannah Miller, then support her by buying her music on itunes or bandcamp (I hear it's cheaper on bandcamp).
James Miller is wearing the Thomas Wool bow tie in the classic 2 3/8" butterfly style.
My friends at Random.org helped me select the winner of the free bow tie - so without further ado:

Big fan of the blue chambray.
Will be great with my pink Oxford.Well it looks like you will be getting a new blue chambray bow tie!
And here's some Friday showcase photos for you.
OK, These are some of the cutest boys I've ever seen! And aren't the boat shoes so adorable?
And here's a fun picture of G sporting the Owen Madras - one of the summer's best sellers. Perfectly accessorized with the straw hat.
Thank-you for sharing your photos! If you have a photo, send it to me at ellielaveer@gmail.com. I'd love to see some pictures of my bow ties out on the town. So if you have a cool city, take a picture of yourself in the bow tie while you're out on the town. I don't get out much so if my bow ties do, I feel like atleast part of me gets to travel the world.
Hey, I'd even be willing to send out freebies in exchange for awesome photos.
All you have to do is head over to my STORE and choose your favorite and post it in the comments section below! I will close comments on Monday August 23 at 11:59pm. Bonus entry if you blog the above photo with a link to my store - Just post the link of your blog post in a separate comment.
I will be approving all comments so don't worry if it doesn't show up right away.
Good Luck!
I've promised myself that I will not go to bed until I have the fall line up for sale on my website. I went outside in the hot South Carolina sun/stickiness to take some pictures today of many warm looking bow ties. Here's a preview:
I'll also finally be listing the long-awaited square end neck ties. I've got a few samples made up but I'm planning to offer it in 6 different wool options as well as gray chambray, blue chambray and madras. AND - I have a very special freebie for every gentleman who purchases the straight end neck tie while supplies last. More details on that tomorrow.
Finally, I'll be giving away one bow tie this week on my blog to celebrate my listing of all these new wonderful bow ties. More details on that again tomorrow! I'm so excited to switch gears for fall. I'm really ready - now if only the South Carolina weather would follow suit.
I'm crazy about these new images I just received from another Cordial Wedding. They are wearing the green seersucker bow ties for a wedding on the beach. What a great looking bunch.
I've just update my online store with a few more madras, linen and seersucker fabrics. I think you'll like them! Please hop over there and check them all out. The update includes the one I introduced last week - the Ryan Seersucker/Madras reversible bow tie.
If you are getting married soon, consider Cordial Churchman custom bow ties for your wedding party. Contact Ellie at ellielaveer{at}gmail.com or through the contact page of my online store to find out more. Choose from our fabrics or send in your own. A very special thank-you for these wedding parties who have send in their beautiful wedding photos.
I just found madmenyourself.com and found it quite entertaining. I did a Man Men version of Andy, but he of course decided to Mad Men himself. I think his really does look like him. Someone just lent us Mad Men today so I'm sure we'll spend the next week or so watching it while I make bow ties. Seems fitting, doesn't it? Edit: Mad Men has some slick suits and dapper hair. But it's a pretty disgusting show. So Mad Men yourself, but don't Mad Men yourself, if that makes any sense.
One Bow Tie - Many looks. I'll be updating my website this week. Here's a preview of what one of the bow ties I'll be adding. And here's a slide show of more of them.
